What is Silver Clay?

Silver Clay isn't what most people imagine.  It looks unassuming.  It's soft, workable clay that you shape, add texture and fire.  I work predominantly in 999 fine silver.  This is the purest of silvers.  

No specialist studio or complicated machinery needed.  Just considered design, careful hands and a material that rewards both.

Metal clay looks and feels just like regular clay but it’s made from fine particles of pure silver, combined with a non-toxic organic binder and water. 

Once it’s fired (either with a torch or in a kiln), the binder burns away, leaving behind solid, beautiful silver. Just like magic!
